Burrito or walk to Dan's?

Simple goals

Decided to stop by el Arco Iris for dinner last night since I couldn’t drive and didn’t want to go far. Plus, I made it for happy hour – one of my favorite times to go anywhere. Did the Valentine’s thing over the weekend anyway. I can only impress so much!

Of course, I ordered my Jessie’s Extra Special. Didn’t eat much since I was already loaded with carbs, so that’s my lunch today.  A real solid lunch.

Yet, I’m already feeling the effects of yesterday’s carb loading. That’s got me thinking about a walk down to Dan’s and a little hair of the dog.

The only problem is there is never a “little” hair of the dog in my world.

Not only have I been conversing with Hyde ever more than ever – he’s living with me right now – I’ve made Bacchus my preferred deity and I’m praying all the time. All the time.

I'll get a fresh start next week.

It’s Friday, alright?!

Wow! I’ve been on a project for a few weeks now that is worse than going to the dentist when you know you are going to need a root canal. I’m up early every morning and off to a great start, but around lunch time I start losing it. I lost it yesterday in a big way, but I hydrated well last night and didn’t feel too bad this morning.

But in last night’s haze I picked up some Hop Ottin IPA from Anderson Valley. 7 percent, folks. TGIF! (more…)

Goodbye, good riddance?

Talked with Hyde just a short while ago. Not sure we’re going to be speaking again, at least anytime soon. Of course, that’s mostly because Hyde suddenly disappeared. And, that sobriety thing has reared its ugly head again.

The end of a few Piranha's at BJ's restaurant

Sobriety? Diet? Just big talk. Otherwise, I would have ordered a salad and and a fine bottle of water at BJ’s restaurant last night. Instead, I ate three days worth of carbs and fat while polishing off a few Piranha Pale Ales. But, since it was a friend’s birthday, it was all for a good cause – and I didn’t have to drive.

Always better to start fresh with a new day anyway, right? I know I keep trying day after day.

Maybe just a short a ride

I’m not on the wagon. I’m not even sure I want to get on the wagon.

But I’m intrigued by sobriety.

And I don’t just mean drugs and booze. I mean caffeine. Maybe even sugar, at least high fructose corn syrup. Probably should give up all the hormone-doped meat as well.
