Americans have big intentions but little follow through

According to a recent Gallup poll, 76 percent of registered American voters believe that most members of Congress do not deserve to be reelected, the highest percentage since the poll began over 19 years ago.

But if consumer trends, such as car buying, offer any indication, most of these voters won’t have the guts to vote against the incumbent. (more…)

I’d bet the average joe is better than the average Congress person

Alright, I’m putting together a Congressional campaign. Not because I want to serve in office, but because I doubt our political system could be much worse than it is today. So, I’m running on honesty. Bribes, pork, insider trading, etc. will ALL be part of my campaign, I’m just going to be honest about that fact. It’s the only way a poor guy like me can make it to Congress.

But, I also want to explore some other crazy ideas. Like an election lottery. (more…)

The benefits are awesome.

Plus, there is plenty of insider information that you can use to legally make a profit. What’s that worth? I mean people go to jail for acts that members of Congress regularly execute. (more…)
