Who is YT? I mean if you’re going to vote someone into Congress, don’t you want to know something about the person?
Ironically, YT isn’t even a person. YT is a character. And, no, YT isn’t code for some white supremacy conspiracy. In fact, YT and YTsWorld have absolutely nothing to do with race. (more…)
I’ve been in the marketing game for some time. During that time, I’ve also been significantly involved with databases, even spending several years with a CRM company. Consequently, I’m shocked by how freely people give away their life’s stories.
It’s not just the invasion of privacy. It’s the massive amount of money that social media companies are making off our revelations, that so many are giving away for FREE. It’s our free admissions that have made Facebook CEO Mark Zuckerberg a billionaire.
I’ve been listening to KROQ again recently, something I haven’t done in a while and now I’m remembering why. The radio station just can’t get enough of Charlie Sheen’s recent radio interview rant. He’s so crazy, but they on KROQ are not?
Gotta love the Foo Fighters. Been listening to their new album and it doesn’t sound a lot like old Foo Fighters stuff. Instead, the Foo Fighters tried to recreate their sound.
The Foo Fighters are thinking outside the Foo Fighter’s box. (more…)
Tired. That’s the only way I can describe this morning.
So I flipped on the radio and ended up on KROQ and Under Cover of Darkness, the new single by the Strokes, came on. I’ve heard the song a few times since its release but was really able to enjoy it this morning. Turned my day around.
Put me in such a good mood I had to have a couple of my favorite Stones, via India. MMMMmmmm.
That’s my last M&M. My last cup of coffee. My last piece of pizza. My last drink.
It’s my last one, man, seriously. What???? Someone is buying a round? Well, I’ll have one more then, but that’s it. That’ll be my last one. Seriously. (more…)
I kind of like cooking, and I’ve been hearing about chicken brine for some time, but I’ve never brined a chicken. So, yesterday I did, and it was to be put on the grill for dinner tonight. But it’s raining out, and I’m a charcoal guy with little cover above my grill.
Thus, Hyde had the idea to wake and bake – not an entirely unusual concept in the world of Hyde.
Then again, waking and baking was actually a good idea. It’s cool in the house and slow-cooking some chicken will add some warmth.
As Hyde claims, it’s always a good idea to wake and bake.
One of my best friends in college used to tell me I hated myself. One day, thanks to some Saturday Night Live skit, she dared me to look in the mirror and say I love you – fully meaning it.
Even though I thought the whole thing a joke, I still couldn’t say it. I literally couldn’t say it. Instead, I just laughed and mocked the whole idea. That was the beginning of the end of our relationship. (more…)
Well, my burrito became more like brunch then lunch. Then Hyde started yapping about walking down to Dan’s, and a walk sounded nice since it rained this morning and the air feels and smells fresh and clean.
Sure, I could have just left it at a walk, but I didn’t. (more…)
Wow! I’ve been on a project for a few weeks now that is worse than going to the dentist when you know you are going to need a root canal. I’m up early every morning and off to a great start, but around lunch time I start losing it. I lost it yesterday in a big way, but I hydrated well last night and didn’t feel too bad this morning.
But in last night’s haze I picked up some Hop Ottin IPA from Anderson Valley. 7 percent, folks. TGIF! (more…)
