My newest piece of art. Rate your art

My latest art purchase. Rate your art.'Yesterday' - My latest art purchase

Check out my latest art purchase. I picked this up from Deborah Blanco, a good friend of mine. It's called 'Yesterday', and if you spin the little handle in the upper write, it plays the song 'Yesterday' by the Beatles.

Love it! More on Deborah Blanco's art.

Is it graffiti or is it art?

Another piece of graffiti art in YT's neighborhood. Rate your graffiti.

A little taste of YT's neighborhood

Graffiti, graffiti. Its everywhere in my neighborhood. Most of it is taggers and gangsters, but some of it is actually pretty good.

This piece here is pretty simple, but it still caught my eye.

Anyway, rate your graffiti.

Enjoying McGinty's Gallery at the End of the World

McGinty's Gallery at the End of the WorldSome familiar 35ers

Stopped by the Group Show at McGinty's Gallery at the End of the World in Altadena yesterday. Interesting art. Interesting people, and an even more interesting location.

And, of course, an interesting bar for YT and Wong to hang out, especially since the 35er's Deborah Blanco - and one of the group's artists - was bartending.

Perfect place for a Sunday afternoon. Happy days.

YTs Workout - First Sketch

T-shirt designs.And I haven't even finished my first beer

Of course, that doesn't count the two I had this morning, but that was tail of the dog kind of stuff. So no reason to get crazy.

Still, at least I was working - if you can call working on YTsWorld working. Again, if you love art and love to sketch, please, one up me. It won't hurt my feelings. Seriously.

Show my your YTsWorld designs, or just show me your art for that matter.

Art at Eddies

Rate your art.

YT likes

On Sunday I was at a Doo Dah Parade at Eddies house and I noticed Eddy had some pretty cool art displayed on his walls.

My photographs aren't very good, but I'm going to get some better photos once my camera is repaired.

Check out the rest of Eddies Art.

Also, have some cool art, show us your art.

YT blows hemp assignment

I blame it all on the 35er

So, I had to run a few errands yesterday, and I thought I would use the opportunity to promote IWearWeed.com, another piece of the RateYours community.

Anyway, I thought I'd do a random survey asking people if they knew what hemp was and how it was different from its better known relative, marijuana. Essentially, I just wanted to clarify the fact that hemp is used for industrial applications, such as clothes, bioplastics, even food.

Hemp is not a drug. Hemp is, however, real green.

Anyway, I asked two people - both knew what hemp was, and I stopped by DSW, to see if they had any hemp products, which they did not.

Actually, I also checked out American Apparel for hemp shirts, but they didn't sell any either, but they did at least sell organic cotton shirts - I'll be printing my first YTsWorld t-shirts on these shirts (Also, for the record, the only place I've found hemp clothes in Old Town is Patagonia, though I've found hemp shoes at multiple places in Old Town, such as the Vans store.).

Then as I was heading back to the office, feeling as if I failed on my hemp quest, which I did, I stopped by the 35er. At the 35er, I thought, I could get at least one picture and interview on hemp, as I decided an anonymous survey was worthless unless I was going to ask hundreds of people.

However, I ran into friend, Alejandro, at the 35er as he was sketching ideas for potential paintings. One sketch is below. Sorry for the crappy photo. Only my phone camera is working right now. Anyway, this sketch took Alex about 2 minutes to draw, and he literally pumped out dozens more in the short time I was at the 35er.

So what you say? Fine. Show us your art.

Friday afternoon at the 35er

Bad boy today

So, I made it to the 35er today. Stayed longer than I wanted to. I always do.

Anyway I was talking to Deb, a bartender at the 35er. Deb has this really cool art. You can check her out at lalunasol.com.

Anyway, she has interesting skull art. Shes into dia los muertos kind of stuff. Frida. And she wants to put it on urns.

I think its a fantastic idea. Day of the dead influenced art on urns?

Is it just me, or is that just perfect?

What better medium? Tombstones?

Anyway, check her art out and check out the 35er if you are ever in old town, pasadena.

Also, have some cool art? Show us.
